In order to get more room in the bed, make it easier to get access to the compartment next to the seat, etc – we decided to remove the doors, and hang some curtains – we also removed the metals tracks and replaced them with cedar 2×2′s

Hi! is that just a curtain rod with brackets used to string up the curtain? thanks! glynn
It is a “spring”, used for hanging curtains that I got at a local hardware store. That way, if you roll onto the curtains at night, or while making the bed, you do not bend the curtain rod.
I could not find a link online for one, but they should still be sold (I hope!).
